Online Coursework

Online coursework through OCVS/FLVS

Students have the opportunity to expand their academic options by enrolling in courses through Orange County Virtual School (OCVS). Students can take OCVS courses through Canvas or Florida Virtual School (FLVS FLEX) platforms. These courses are completed outside of the regular school day and/or during the summer to earn additional credits, explore interests, or stay on track for graduation.

 

 

 

  • OCVS Course Catalog

  • Sign up using the link: OCVS FLEX courses.

  • OCVS. Choosing this methos allows School Counselors to see it on your transcript as a course in progress and OCVS enters the final grade. However, if OCVS does not offer a class through OCVS, then select FLVS as the method to take the course. 

  • If you sign up for a class through the FLVS portal, your School Counselor will go into the portal and approve or deny the class based upon your academic standing. If your class is approved, you will be assigned a teacher and class by OCVS. This can take a few days or up to two weeks. If your class is deny, you will receive notification on the reason why.

    If you sign up for a class through OCVS Canvas, you will follow the steps through OCVS Canvas.

  • OCVS enters final grades for all classes taken through OCVS into Skyward. Final grades in courses taken through FLVS by FLVS teachers are entered by School Counselors. 

    Final grades are typically entered within two weeks of the class completion. May take longer during summer months.
